Maine coons are really the biggest domestic cat, natural breed from the USA. First Maine coons were registered as purebred cats at about 1870. Owing to the nature's breeding program these cats keep their exterior and working characteristics practically without changes until now (they can survive in the forest today as well as years ago))
Under wild-looking big and powerful appearance soft and kind soul is hidden (more exactly in Maine coon there are three souls – one from God, one from breeder and the soul which you'll put in him).
It's impossible not to love Maine coons, you for sure will start dreaming about the second coon very soon after you got the first one and finally will understand that there are never enough Maine coons only there are no enough free space in home for them.
People say that cat has 9 lives but Maine coon has only one indeed which devote to you. That's why you must try to know as more as possible about cats needs, necessary conditions for healthy, happy and long life before you take decision to divide your life with them.
Our cattery (registered in TICA and CFA) is located in Russia, Moscow. We live an apartment, but have a country house near Moscow where spend some weekends and a big part of summer (maybe the best time in our life)) Our coonies are the full members of our family and divide with us our life. They have everything required for healthy and happy life and we love and care about them as well as our daughter. Maine coons breeding and showing is only hobby for us, sometimes hard and sometimes very grateful but it will never be our “work”.
